A reader tweeted that they pre-ordered a hardback copy of Destiny's Conflict, today.
Anyone care to research it?

Amazon UK seems to have the hardback, but they do not have the trade paperback, only other format is the kindle version. I would say it is a mistake.

Preordered the book from Amazon UK. There is no front cover as yet but guessing that willl appear when Janny is ready. Just a year to wait. Hurrah

woohoo the link says it'll come out on my 40th birthday. i think this pre order is off since it says the book is 400 pages and I do not recall any book in this series being that small.

Yep, I've just placed an Amazon UK preorder too.
Normally, I'd wait until nearer the time but this one needs it much sooner.

I'm such a greedy reader. Not one day after I've devoured Brent Week's latest (woohaha!) here I come back to Janny's site after a long hiatus, already pining after when the latest WOLAS will be in my grasp.
Still a year out (whine whine) but at least we have a date! And two short stories coming!
And maybe a snippet! Though don't do the snippet if it will delay things because I need the book more!
Black Bargain - now doesn't that sound ominous! Can't wait to see what these shorts reveal.

Long time lurker on these boards. I have to say that WoLaS is my favorite fantasy series and I recommend it to all of my friends whenever they ask me for good fantasy to read.
I wanted to say thank you for all the hours of joy and suspense you've given me over the years as I follow Arithon's adventures. Your imagery always captures my imagination! Your hard work is evident, and very much appreciated.
I'm also tickled that the next book is slated to release on my birthday…
Thank you!! And we'll both be looking forward to your birthday, with two short stories (Athera related) in the pipe to release before then.
Thanks for checking in.

Hi Janny
This is my first posting. I have read all your books so far WRT Athera and WoLaS. I am super excited that the next book will be available in Sep 2017, but the wait is driving me nutz!!!
Love all your work and thank you.
Ta.
Hi Richard Myburgh - welcome here! And thanks for the very lovely words - don't be afraid to hang out with the crowd, it's a great group of people here.

**potential spoliers - if you haven't read that far**
Glad we are that soon will be the next book in the series,
Till then we all can spout about our crazy wild theories.
Will Arithon and Elaira reunite and then cast down
the Koriathain with the gifted knife of great renown?
Will Davien rejoin the Seven to fight the mighty fights?
Or will he venture forth to create havoc at new heights?
Can Lysaer with the help of Daliana young and brave
Resist the mistwraith’s pull? Or will to the curse he cave?
What many threads and unseen paths will our tale teller spin?
We’ll just bide until September when the tale will begin!

Bought it. Read it. Loved it. Looking forward to the next anthology. Will that be an e-book too?
Hi Gill - yes. I believe it is due out pretty fast - will keep you posted. Glad you enjoyed the short!
If you want a teaser of a cover preview, I just posted 2 pics of the 'in progress' start of the cover images for Destiny's Conflict on my Twitter feed.

Janny- what if we don't have twitter?
Ah Julie - you'll have to whip up hordes and hordes of enthusiastic readers, and get them to like the posts, or comment, and make it trend so you can see it on the front long in page (well, that would flip my expectations in a wild and wooly good way!!) or suck it up until I'm done and get a preview posted…
FaceBook has changed its copyright terms; so I may or may not track this bit on there.

Well, this fan page is about the extent of my foray into social media. I will be patient!
Usually do post the finished images on this site, so you won't be left out when the time comes to unveil.
